Who were the Hyksos? For over a century Egyptologists have tried to answer this question – yet we still have very few certainties. When historical evidence is fragmented, archaeology is our best tool, and in this course we will scour the material evidence to try to shed more light onto the identity of this population, the true nature of their relationship with ancient Egypt, and the enigmatic kings of the 15th Dynasty.
