King of Persia, Xerxes, son of Darius and Atussa, tries to finish the work his father started, to bring Greece under the ‘Persian yoke’. He embarked upon a massive invasion of Greece from across the Hellespont in 486 ignoring the bad omens, he therefore exhibits his fatal flaw of dishonouring the deities. He meets his nemesis amongst his own. Alexander controlled Persia after sweeping though Greece from a Asia Minor: he subjects his army to great perils and wears Persian clothes and meet nemesis perhaps being poisoned by one of his generals.
