MEET LIZ

LIZ MAYOR
Founder and Director of Studies

Liz Mayor is the Founder and Head of the Classical Education Forum. Liz was a lecturer at Cardiff University for 16 years, before being made redundant in 2009, where she taught Classical Studies and Latin in the Department for Continuing Education. Having a passion for her subject area, Liz set up the Forum to provide adult education classes at university level for people in Cardiff in 2009. Her main areas of expertise and research are Roman Philosophy, the Ancient Near East and Armenia. Liz has been a Lecturer in Classical Studies for the Open University and has worked with various adult education providers.
When Liz has spare time, she can be found in her garden or walking her dogs, Jamie and Rex. She is also a voracious reader, listens to a wide variety of music and she is a very active campaigner for animal rights at home and abroad.

The course (The Archaeology of South America) very good and well constructed. Chiara is well researched in her subject, and has great enthusiasm for it. This comes across in the class, and makes it an enjoyable experience for the students.
